Work Experience
Work Experience offers the opportunity for students in Years 10 and 11 to spend time - usually one or two weeks - with an employer, carrying out a range of learning related tasks or duties.
Employers can become involved by providing placements within their organisation. This will involve producing a structured programme of work for the student (including a pre-visit), monitoring and guiding the student whilst on placement and providing feedback to the school.
BEST currently co-ordinates over 12,500 work experience placements for students at schools in Manchester, Rochdale, Stockport and Trafford. All participating employers must agree to a Health and Safety visit to be conducted by a member of BEST staff. See Events for 2006 dates.
